Children are able to come to school dressed in their house colours for Cross Country on Wednesday 6 September. A change of clothes for after the race is required as there will be a muddy track up the hill on race day. See you there!

Outer Space

It was great to see a lot of Ruma Waru children at the school disco on Friday night. The costumes were out of this world! The kids had a blast, too! 

Dinosaurs Galore

In Ruma Waru we LOVE dinosaurs and they often play a key role in many games played. This week was no exception. During inside wet morning tea and lunch our imaginations ran wild and our Jurassic World theme continued for the remainder of the week. 

Crazy for Cartwheels!

We have been going gymnastics for our PE focus to start the term. Gymnastics is an excellent focus, to help us develop spacial awareness, co-ordination and flexibility. 

Last week some children expressed a goal to learn to do a cartwheel. We have been practicing hard!
I will update this post with a Ruma Waru cartwheel video later in the week. I have been incredibly impressed with everyone's determination and can-do attitudes. Well done Ruma Waru!
